Feminine Dance Studio

Finchley Youth Theatre is a fully equipped theatre and dance studio in Barnet offering courses and activities in drama, dance and technical theatre for young people aged 8–19 (up to 25 for those with disabilities). It hosts sessions such as a weekly musical theatre course delivered by Fixation Academy of Performing Arts, where participants aged 8+ explore drama, musical theatre and dance and work towards a yearly full-scale production. Membership fees are inclusive and funded places are available for vulnerable children.

Fleur Estelle Belly Dance is a Covent Garden-based school founded by internationally acclaimed belly dancer Fleur Estelle. The school offers in-studio belly dance courses across six levels, from beginners to advanced, with 8- or 10-week terms priced around £140 per course. Classes take place at 9 Endell Street and are taught by Fleur and her team, many of whom have progressed through the school’s teacher-training programme. In addition to studio courses, Fleur Estelle Belly Dance provides online Zoom classes, tutorials, costumes, teacher training and performance opportunities. The school promotes healing through movement and welcomes adults seeking fun, fitness and artistic expression.

Footworks Dance Academy, founded by Melina Stylli in 2010, provides training in ballet, tap, contemporary, street dance, acro gymnastics and musical theatre. Classes are offered from age 2.5 through adults in a fun yet structured environment, following the I‑PATH syllabus for ballet and tap. Fully qualified and DBS‑checked teachers help students build confidence and technique, and pupils have opportunities to perform in festivals, competitions and bi‑annual shows.

Grafton Dance Centre in Dulwich Village offers a wide range of dance and wellbeing classes for children and adults. Adult classes include ballroom and Latin American dance, flamenco, tai chi, pilates and yoga; children’s classes cover ballet, tap, ballroom and Latin, and there are wedding dance and social dancing sessions. The centre also hires its studio and garden for private events and children’s parties.
